What Is With All The Dove's?
I have shared in Step 1, that I used writing as a way to express all of the pent up emotion that losing my loved ones had created. I also felt a great need to express myself artistically. This was also about the time I was considering logo's and other artwork, graphics and imagery that I would use for this site.
One afternoon, I was feeling sorry for myself because learning how to become a medium was harder than I expected. I was having a hard time bypassing a lifetime of analytical thinking to allow the intuitive pathways to open up. So, I was doodling, just scratching out nonsense on an art tablet. The winter sun was shining through the window, the air was lazy and warm and I just slipped into a open eyed meditation of sorts. When the sun set and I felt the cold air return, I snapped out of my reverie and glanced at my doodles. I had drawn the simple line drawing of the winged dove in the future logo for the site. Also sketched out was the beginning of the dove handing me a note from my husband, which later became the logo decal for Step 2.
This all prompted me to look up the metaphysical meanings for the dove. The meanings that resonated with me the most were:
Peace, Harmony, Love, Fidelity, New Beginnings, Hope, and Messenger of Loved Ones and The Divine.
I wove these meanings into every pen scratch, line, curve and facial expression of our Doves. It is my hope that they will resonate with you and inspire you along your journey.
And as the saying goes: So it is.
